linkoflinks stands on open data and good tools. Thank you to all of them.

Data

  • Certificate Transparency logs: the public logs run by Google, Cloudflare, Let's Encrypt, DigiCert, Sectigo and other operators, listed in Google's public log list. Every live pulse comes from them.
  • Tranco: the research-oriented ranking of popular websites, by Le Pochat et al., tranco-list.eu. Used for the base layer and popularity.
  • DB-IP: IP geolocation by DB-IP ("IP to Country Lite", CC BY 4.0), for where sites are hosted.
  • IANA and domain registries: the RDAP service list and registry answers for address checks.
  • Natural Earth: the world map (public domain), via the world-atlas package.
  • LDNOOBW: the "List of Dirty, Naughty, Obscene and Otherwise Bad Words" (CC BY 4.0), used to hide offensive names.
